The Saufley was an experimental ship, equipped with hedgehogs and a very sophisticated sonar system, at the time I came aboard in January,1957 until October,1960. She was home ported in Key West, Florida. Attention all Shipmates or who's family members served aboard the USS Saufley from commissioning until her demise.
