| TO ALL USS SAUFLEY 465 SHIPMATES - my dearest beloved one and only (of 51 years) has deployed on the final and ultimate cruise. Richard was one of the chosen few to be invited to "JC's" birthday party, Christmas of 2003. Richard's outstanding Naval accomplishments may be read in his obituary available on the internet archives of the Virginian-Pilot, Norfolk, VA dated both 15 & 16 December 2003. I will send a printout for publication, Ed and Terry, should you need one for the newsletter. Please do let me know. Richard passed on 12 December, with burial on 17 December here in Virginia Beach at Princess Anne Memorial Cemetary. He was honored with Masonic rituals by his Lodge - and also full Military Honors graveside. I was so proud of him, my heart just burst with love and pride...Richard was THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!!!
