DESDIV 601

The Saufley was an experimental ship, equipped with hedgehogs and a very sophisticated sonar system, at the time I came aboard in January,1957 until October,1960. She was home ported in Key West, Florida. The vessels below were assigned, at one time or another, to Destroyer Division 601 (DesDiv601).
Some crewmembers attended SONAR SCHOOL at Fleet ASW Warfare School in Key West, Florida.
